Advancing Sustainable Travel in Thailand

2025 Global Meaningful Travel Summit

The 2025 Global Meaningful Travel Summit took place from September 7–13, 2025, in Bangkok and Krabi, Thailand. Co-hosted by Tourism Cares and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), brought together 40 travel leaders, sustainability advocates, and media professionals from around the world.

Participants explored community-based tourism, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation, experiencing first-hand how travel can create positive impact. From bustling Bangkok neighborhoods to the serene beaches of Krabi, every moment highlighted Thailand’s dedication to sustainable tourism.

“I think Thailand is a reflection of how multi-dimensional people are. We have a wide range of hobbies and interests, and in every corner of this country, there’s a neighborhood, a city, or a community you can relate to.” — Quayla Allen-Comella, 2025 Summit participant
